This post is part of the blog tag titled, The CBC Tablog where CBC stands for Chennai Bloggers Club. About 35 bloggers from Chennai are participating in this blog tag; everyone will write about their favourite city Chennai and what it means to them. So here's my post for the CBC tablog titled, What Chennai Means To Me. Thanks for passing the baton to me Bhushavalli Natarajan!
Who said you have to like something only if it is perfect? In fact it is the imperfections that makes something all the more lovable. Chennai might not be the best city for others, but for me it will always remain special and close to my heart.
Chennai. My home. My heart. My world. Chennai has given me a life, a wonderful family, a job , a passion, memories and tonnes of happiness. What more could I ask for?

ReplyDeleteI think you posted this just about when it turned 00: 00, in case the world ends. See you on the other side ;)
Joy always,
Susan

I wanted to do something different. Glad it clicked. Thanks a lot Jay :-)
DeleteAshwini, it's gonna be difficult for the rest of us to write a better post... this is brilliant, succinct and enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteOh come on, you are talking about the Chennai Bloggers. Each one is definitely going to be at their best. Anyway thanks a lot for your compliment :-) Glad you liked it :-)
DeleteP for Parthasarathy... kalakitta po. Super ba.
ReplyDeleteThanks ba! :-)

DeleteWell I rambled and you are alive to read the post :P.
DeleteHow lucky we all are :-)
Deletesuperbly written...and my favourite part of the post..."your description of xerox shop"... ;)
ReplyDeleteHe he :-) Thanks a lot for the compliment :-)
DeleteWoho !! The first survivor of the Mayan misprediction. Loved the A-Z idea !! And seriously, the xerox shop? Which college did you engineer out of?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, the first survivor :-) and you haven't been to the xerox shop to take copies of notes? Seriously? Which college did you graduate from? ;-)
Deletesuperb :D Xerox shop and queues.. ootta vada made me laugh... A-Z idea rocked :D
ReplyDeleteHey thanks a lot :-) oota vadai is our speciality no? :-)
Deleteit was nice post..i could well understand the xerox shop thing:)Sathyam cinemas, anna centenary library , land mark ,EA are spots which have made my time pass for long hours in the past and present and the otta vadai and the filter coffee are one of my favourites...awesome post!!
ReplyDeleteThank you :-) Yea those are things which most chennaities would relate to :-)
DeleteThis seems fun.. a good initiative to look at the city from different eyes...
ReplyDeleteOh yes :-) its fun to read so many posts and so ,any people writing on a common topic. All thanks to our Susan, the mastermind behind this :-)
DeleteOh yeah! Pocket moneylaam photocopies edutha azhinjipochu! So did u study in Rosary Matric?
ReplyDeleteYea, I spent so much on those. And yes, I studied in Rosary Matric :-)
DeleteU know what, I almost studied there! My bro studied in St.Bede's and we were living in Santhome - so my parents thought it would be great if I studied in Rosary. I still remember the LKG school admission interview I attended - there was a Christmas tree and little trinkets hanging from it. The sisters pointed them out one by one and asked me what they were. I knew what they were but deliberately did not answer. Obviously I didn't get a seat ;-)
DeleteA-Z is a good idea. It requires a lot of thinking too. Publishing it at 12:00 AM is another creative idea. I would have liked to see Puliyodharai along with Parthasarathy Temple. They make awesome Puliyodharai over there and combined with the Otta Medhu Vadai, it's just a treat!!
ReplyDeleteDestination Infinity
Thank you so much :-). Somehow I am not that much in favour of the Puliyodharai there, coz my mom makes it even more spicy :-)
DeleteSo heavenly:)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sir :-)
